Are you planning a Bridal shower in Toronto?

What should you include in your Modern Toronto bridal shower planning?

Toronto Bridal shower planning can be stressful, especially if you aren’t the bride. A bridal shower is typically for the bride and her close family and friends, but this doesn’t mean that the groom’s female friends and family can’t be invited.  The honour of planning such an event usually falls upon the maid of honour or the bride’s mother. Don’t stress; here are some tips and ideas for a bridal shower to impress everyone.

Let’s start with planning the shower.

  • Decide on a theme. Or at the very least a colour scheme. Just an idea of how you want the shower to look.
  • Guests list know who to invite and who you can skip. These are the bride’s closest family and friends.
  • Venue. Once you know how many people to invite, you can decide if you need to rent a hall or have it at home. This also depends on how formal or informal you want the event to be.
  • Send out invitations! You can then confirm the numbers with the venue you are booking a place or rent enough chairs.

What should you include

You will want a food station of some sort—something to snack on while guests play games. Depending on the type of bride, you have something cute like a candy table rental would be a good fit. Something lovely is donuts and other easy to eat foods. Another suggestion that’s a hit is a brunch bridal shower,  this tasty hit is a little more costly, but who doesn’t love brunch?

Beverage stations, this should have a variety of water to favourite mixed beverages. Infuser jars are suitable for drinks other than infused water—a few options from water and juice to some mimosas or the bride’s favourite adult beverage.  A champagne (or sparkling wine) tower is always a hit, but make sure you use plastic cups because we all know that one person will take from the bottom, and no one wants to clean up the glass.

Bridal shower table settings

If you go to the dollar store, you can get matching plastic tablecloths and paper plates/cups. These are super affordable and make the clean up so easy. Just roll them up and throw them out at the end of the day.

Depending on how formal you want this event to be, these aren’t even necessary. If you’re going to add some dazzle to the table without spending a ton of money, table confetti works well to add some decoration to a layout. If you’re going to get a little bit extra, having some photos of the couple also make enjoyable centrepieces that can be reused at the wedding and in the home.
